Opening Stock

The opening stock implies that the stock is in hand at the beginning of an accounting period. The stock that is being held at the end of an accounting period or known as the closing stock will be the opening stock for the next accounting period

Opening Stock in ACCOXI

‘Opening Stock in ACCOXI’ enables the users to know their total number of opening stock and stock value. The opening stock can be entered while creating an item under ‘Inventory Section’. User can also change the price or quantity of the opening stock using the edit option

Key Features

  • It enables the user to know their opening inventory in terms of the number of items and value
  • If the user wants to edit opening stock, purchase rate, sales rate, or expiry date then click on the edit icon 
  • while choosing an export option on the top right corner of the opening stock window, user can export their opening stock details into their computer folder as a PDF
  • If the user wants to know their opening stock details of a particular product or currently available stock of an item, then it can be done by using the filter option

1. Filter Option

  • Users can filter opening stock using two options. Firstly user can type the product name directly on the search bar, secondly click on the filter option and type product name, or activate the ‘In Stock option then it will display the details of available stock otherwise it will display all the stock including sold units

2. Refresh Option

  • If your latest data is not displayed, click on the refresh icon on the top left corner of the page to fetch the new data.

3. Export Option

  • If the user wants to export opening stock details into PDF format, then the export option is available, after clicking export to PDF a save as directory option will appear and the user can opt for the PDF file saving location

4.  Edit Option

  • User can easily edit purchase rate, sales rate, wholesale rate, opening stock, expiry date, etc. through this option

5. Pagination control

  • It controls the Page Navigation and the Page Size. Page Size can be set to 10, 20, 50 or 100, by giving page number in the box. When the user clicks the Go button, the intended page will appear.

6. Exit Option

  • User can exit from the current window and it will redirect to the previous page

01How do I filter opening stock details?

  • Click on Inventory Section and select Opening Stock. Then an Opening Stock page will appears

  • Users can filter it by entering Product Name or by marking ‘In stock’. Either you can give any of the said criteria directly into the search bar near the filter option or by clicking the filter down arrow and you can select the details from the list

02How can I change the sales Rate of the existing opening stock?

  • Click on Inventory Section and select Opening Stock. Then an Opening Stock page will appears
  • On the right side of the screen, an Edit option is available. Click on that
  • User can make a change to the existing sales rate by changing it on the sales rate column and enter the new amount

03How do I change the number of opening stock items?

  • Click on Inventory Section and select Opening Stock. Then an Opening Stock page will appears
  • On the right side of the screen, an Edit option is available. Click on that
  • User can make a change in the opening stock number under the opening stock column

04How can I add a new batch in opening stock?

  • Click on Inventory Section and select Opening Stock. Then an Opening Stock page will appears
  • On the right side of the screen, an Edit option is available. Click on that
  • User can add a new batch by using the ‘+New Batch’ option
  • User needs to enter batch code, MRP, purchase rate, sales rate, expiry date, and opening stock
  • Then click save

05How can I export the details of opening stock?

  • Click on Inventory Section and select Opening Stock. Then an Opening Stock page will appears
  • Click on the Export button at the top right corner. Select the file location and click on save
